Description	:	Butch Beach, 64, of Vermillion, SD passed away Tuesday, August 13 at his residence after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Butch was born March 19, 1949 in Burbank, SD to Kenneth and Gertrude (Clifford) Beach. He attended Vermillion schools graduating in 1967 and received his Associates Degree from Sioux Empire College in Hawarden, IA. In 1968 he enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Soul, Korea and worked for the deputy chiefs of staff for the military intelligence as a coordinator, he was discharged in 1971. Read More	Butch Beach, 64, of Vermillion, SD passed away Tuesday, August 13 at his residence after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Butch was born March 19, 1949 in Burbank, SD to Kenneth and Gertrude (Clifford) Beach. He attended Vermillion schools graduating in 1967 and received his Associates Degree from Sioux Empire College in Hawarden, IA. In 1968 he enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Soul, Korea and worked for the deputy chiefs of staff for the military intelligence as a coordinator, he was discharged in 1971. He married Joan Buckman on July 6, 1974 in Yankton, SD. Butch retired as a postal carrier after 32 years and then worked in the purchasing department at the Sanford Vermillion Hospital for six years. His life revolved around his family, and he enjoyed Mill Lake, fishing, and being around his good friends. He is survived by his wife Joan, and three sons; Wade (Tina), Matt (Callie) and Cory Beach all of Vermillion, a brother Gary (Sheila) Beach of Yankton, SD and two sisters; Susie Livingston of Council Bluffs, IA and Susan Reeves of Avon, CT. He is also survived by three grandchildren; Riley, Kellen and Braxton Beach. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM Saturday, August 17 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Vermillion with burial to follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Vermillion. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Friday, August 16 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM all at the church. hansenfuneralhome.com.
