Carlton, 100, of King & Queen, VA passed away October 17, 2018. Jeanette was a life-long member of Old Church United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband George Wilbur Carlton. She is survived by two children Kirk Carlton and his wife, Helen, Janice Crumpton and her husband Buddy; a sister Thelma Seward; a brother Frank Carlton; two granddaughters and their spouses, Heather and Mark Miller, Holli and R. D. Bolt; three great-grandsons and their spouses Brad and Taylor Miller, Todd and Brandy Miller and Skyler Bolt; and one great-great-grandson Grayson Miller. The family would like to thank the staff of Essex House for all the love and support she received through the years. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 20th in Old Church United Methodist Church, 25614 The Trail, Mattaponi, VA 23110. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the funeral at the church. Memorials may be made to Old Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Joyce Goins, 145 Gregory Lane, Mattaponi, VA 23110.
