(Camilla) Conway, departed this life Saturday, June 4, in St. Vincent's Hospital, Sioux City, Iowa, at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 5 days, after a brief illness. Camilla Martin was born November 30, 1884, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Martin, in Sioux City, Iowa. The family moved to Westfield, where she grew to womanhood, completed her education and taught school in that area for several years. She was united in marriage with Michael W. Conway at Westfield on November 25, 1913. Their union was blessed with five sons and one daughter. Mrs. Conway took a deep and active interest in the religious educational and social life of her community. Her pleasant personality, loyal and helpful disposition won for her the high regard of a host of friends. Over a period of years Mrs. Conway acted most efficiently as news reporter for the Register-Tribune from her home community, rarely failing to contribute her interesting and unbiased column. She will long be held in respectful memory in the community where she spent practically her entire life-time. Her husband, Michael, preceded her in death on December 25, 1952. Surviving are five sons, Martin, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; John and Louis, of Westfield; Milton, of Sioux City; Raymond, of Los Angeles, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Frank McGillen, of Detroit, Mich.; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday morning in St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Westfield, Rev. Fr. J.F. Schissel officiating, and burial was in St. Patrick's church cemetery, Akron.
