Description	:	Camolyra Swafford Brown, 102, died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005, at the Spring City Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Bledsoe County on Feb. 10, 1903, and lived most of her life in Pikeville. She was a member of Pikeville Church of Christ. Mrs. Brown was an accomplished seamstress who began sewing at the age of 18. She was the manager of the Bledsoe County High School and Bledsoe Elementary School cafeterias for many years before retiring in 1971. She was born in Bledsoe County on Feb. 10, 1903, and lived most of her life in Pikeville. She was a member of Pikeville Church of Christ. Mrs. Brown was an accomplished seamstress who began sewing at the age of 18. She was the manager of the Bledsoe County High School and Bledsoe Elementary School cafeterias for many years before retiring in 1971. She enjoyed attending the Pikeville Senior Citizen’s Center, where she quilted and played Rook. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, Calhoun and Mattie Greer Swafford; her husband, William Franklin Brown Sr., and one son, Benny Swafford Brown. She is survived by two sons, Wendell Brown of Dayton and Frank Brown Jr. of Powell, Tenn.; one daughter, Helen Brown Isaacs of Spring City; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild. The funeral was held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. CDT in the chapel of Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Pikeville, with Minister Tony Britt officiating. Burial will be in Pikeville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Brown, Shawn Brown, Stephen Brown, William Brown, Mark Brown and Jerry Henry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pikeville Church of Christ, P.O. Box 401 Pikeville TN 37367 or to the Pikeville Senior Citizen’s Center, P.O. Box 751, Pikeville TN 37367.
