IA. His burial was in Des Moines Co. IA in Hawkeye Cemetery. Reuben Westfall was the son of Jacob and Mary (King) Westfall. He was Capt. in the OH Volunteers (rifleman), War of 1812. He married Elizabeth Tucker March 02, 1805 in Elizabethtown, Hardin Co. KY. She was born June 08, 1786, and died August 17, 1860 in Des Moines Co. IA. Her burial was in Des Moines Co. His grandparents were Jacob and Judith (Hornbeck) Westfall. His great grandparents were Jurian and Styntje (Kuykendall) Westfall. His great great grandparents were Johannes and Marritje (Kool) Westfall, and Reuben's great great great grandfather was the original Westfall immigrant to America who came to America in 1642 from Holland, Jurian Westfall who married Maritje Hansen (information per Ancestry member) ------------------ Reuben Westfall had 7 brothers and sisters-Levi Westfall (1782-1848) married 1st Temperance King, and married 2nd Margaret Pettit; Elizabeth Westfall (1784-1851) married David Swank; John Westfall born 1788 married Rachel; Anna Westfall born 1790 married John Anderson; Mary Westfall born 1796 married 1st Jeremiah King, and married 2nd Zacheus Tiberghein; Janet Westfall (1799-1863) married Daniel Mills; and Cornelius Westfall who founded Thorntown, Indiana in 1830. Cornelius was born 7 Mar. 1778 in Beverly, Randolph County, Virginia, and died 5 Sept. 1856 in Wolf Grove, Illinois. He married 1st Elizabeth Bryan, married 2nd Rachel Dye, and married 3rd Sarah Mary Davis. Note: Reuben Westfall's sister and Jacob and Mary (King) Westfall's daughter Mary Westfall Mary Westfall born 1796 married 1st Jeremiah King, and married 2nd Zacheus Tiberghein. Mary Westfall and her first husband Jeremiah King had 3 children-Washington King, Jeremiah King, and Julia King who married a man who's last name was Church. She later married Zacheus Tiberghein and they had children, but I don't know how many children they had or their names. Mary lived in Thorntown, Indiana. Note: Reuben Westfall's brother and Jacob and Mary (King) Westfall's son John Westfall was born in 1788 and he married Rachel (her maiden name not known). John Westfall and his wife Rachel's oldest son was Lorenzo Dow Westfall. They had other childen, but I don't know their names or how many other children they had. They lived near their son Lorenzo Dow Westfall in Derby, Lucas County, Iowa in the 1850 census. Their oldest son Lorenzo Dow was born 12-8-1818 in Middletown, Ohio, and he died in Derby, Lucas County, Iowa. He married Eleanor Crawford and they had 12 children. I only know the names of 7 of Lorenzo Dow Westfall and Eleanor (Crawford) Westfall's children-Diana (Westfall) Penick lived in Derby, Iowa; Alison (Westfall) Dow lived in Redlands, Calif.; Wesley Addison Westfall lived in Albany, Oregon; Julian Crawford Westfall lived in Avery, Iowa; Francis Asbury Westfall lived in Chanute, Kansas; Emma (Westfall) Tedric lived in Artesio, Calif.: Margaret (Westfall) Stogehill lived in Portland, Oregon; and 5 other children names not known. Note: Reuben Westfall's brother and Jacob and Mary (King) Westfall's son Levi Westfall was born in 1782 in Virginia, and died November 16, 1848 in Boone County, Indiana. He married 1st Temperance King December 16, 1802 in Nelson County, Kentucky. He married 2nd Margaret Pettit April 04, 1811 in Miami County, Ohio. She was born 1791. Levi Westfall served in the War of 1812 with the Ohio Militia. Children of Levi Westfall and Margaret Pettit were-Fielding Lowery Westfall born January 07, 1818, Ohio, died August 18, 1871, Prairie City, Illinois, married Malinda Stapleton, June 03, 1836, Boone County, Indiana; Ann Westfall married Patrick Elliott; Isaac McCoy Westfall born March 18, 1811, Miami County, Ohio, died December 29, 1888, Watertown, Dakota, married Amanda Davis, August 22, 1843, Boone County, Indiana. He was a Universalist Minister; Henrietta Gerard Westfall born March 18, 1823, Troy, Ohio, died August 29, 1909, Macomb, Illinois, married Joseph M.
