Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Walter Funeral Home of Anthon. Mr. Drossel was born January 18, 1914, at Lawton, the son of James K. and Fredericka Ronnau Drossel. He later moved to the Climbing Hill vicinity where he lived until 1934 when he moved to Anthon. He had lived on the same farm for the last 45 years. He married Dakota Fry November 20, 1955, at Anthon. Mr. Drossel was a member of the United Methodist Church at Anthon. Survivors include the widow; two sons, Douglas and Carey Allen, both of Anthon; a daughter, Miss Jacque of Austin, Texas; two stepsons, Larry and David Charrlin both of Chicago; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Joe (Clara) Lea of Rapid City, South Dakota, and Mrs. Don (Carolyn) Cole of Gillette, Wyoming; a brother Arthur of Salix; four sisters, Mrs. Caroline Etler, Mrs. Gertrude Yockey, Mrs. Wayne (Frances) Etler and Mrs. Alvin (Margaret) Schwarz all of Anthon, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
