Description	:	Carl A. Love, 73, of Keosauqua, died at 8 pm March 1, 2011, at University Hospital, Iowa City. He was born Feb. 6, 1938, at Green Castle, Mo., to Carl E. and Ada Bshop Love. He married Sandra Jones. They divorced. He married Barbara Havner Maddix on March 27, 1976, in the Little Brown Church, Nashua. He also farmed in the Keosauqua area. Carl was a avid outdoorsman who enjoyed boating, hunting and fishing as well as being with his family, especially his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Terri Prevett(Kenneth)of Stockport and Traci Higdon(Eric)of Mediapolis; a stepdaughter, Becky Pohren(Bob)of Keosauqua; a son, Alan Love(Kathy)of Libertyville; a stepson, Randy Maddix(Susan)of Birmingham; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Laverne Love of Washington; three sisters, Carolyn Beggs of Cantril, Marilyn Kerr(Dale)of Birmingham and Vicki Allman(Rance)of Fairfield; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John and Jerry Love and an infant brother; a grandson and a great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua; Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham. Visitation will open at 2 pm Friday at the funeral home with family present from 5-7 pm Friday evening. Gifts toward a memorial to be designated later by the family.
