CLAUSEN ASHTON -- Funeral services for Carl H. Clausen, 68, Turton, were at the Community Church of Ashton with the Rev. Arthur W. Galligher of Aberdeen officiating. Burial was in Ashton Cemetery. The Odd Fellows Lodge No. 45 of Ashton was in charge of committal services. Mr. Clausen was born Dec. 2, 1883, at Denison, Ia. He came to South Dakota with is parents in 1905. He purchased a farm in Clifton in 1907 where he resided until his death last Saturday. In January of 1908, he married Lydia Frey of Denison. He served as township supervisor for many years and was a charter member of the IOOF Lodge of Turton, later transferring to the Ashton Lodge No. 45. Survivors are his wife, Lydia; a son, Matt; two brothers, Fred of Long Beach, Calif., and Otto of Ashton; six sisters, Marie, Ella, Selma, Bertha, Martha and Amanda, and two grandchildren.
