Carol was born in El Dorado, Kansas on January 19, 1931, a daughter of Pauline Inez (Burkett) and John J. Heap. Carol attended the El Dorado grade schools and graduated from El Dorado High School, El Dorado, Kansas. She then attended El Dorado Junior College. Carol was born in El Dorado, Kansas on January 19, 1931, a daughter of Pauline Inez (Burkett) and John J. Heap. Carol attended the El Dorado grade schools and graduated from El Dorado High School, El Dorado, Kansas. She then attended El Dorado Junior College. Carol was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church McPherson, Kansas. Carol was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. She also worked for the District Court Clerk for the McPherson County Court House for over thirty-five years. Carol was a member of the Amity Club. Carol enjoyed gardening, needle work, spending time with her grandchildren and family, traveling, cooking and collecting cook books and was always a practical joker. Carol Heap was united in marriage to Albert B. Goodson on December 30, 1951 at El Dorado, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in McPherson, Kansas. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harlan V. Heap and sister JoAnn Randels. Friends are invited to call on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson. The funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson, Kansas, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 26th, 2015 with The Reverend Tim Leaf officiating. The final resting place will be at the New Gottland Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural McPherson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or American Diabetes Association and they can be sent in care of the Glidden – Ediger Funeral Home; 222 West Euclid Street; McPherson, Kansas 67460.
