Description	:	Caroline Marshall, daughter of Louise and Henry Marshall, was born May 13, 1874, and passed away on November 29, 1948, at the age of 74 years, 6 months, and 16 days after being in poor health for several months. She was the eldest of eight children and her early life was spent at the family home east of Woolstock. On May 23, 1895 she was united in marriage to Adolph Bernard. Read More	Caroline Marshall, daughter of Louise and Henry Marshall, was born May 13, 1874, and passed away on November 29, 1948, at the age of 74 years, 6 months, and 16 days after being in poor health for several months. She was the eldest of eight children and her early life was spent at the family home east of Woolstock. On May 23, 1895 she was united in marriage to Adolph Bernard. Six children were born to this union. The first eighteen years of their married life was spent on a farm west of Woolstock. In 1913 they moved to their home east of Eagle Grove where they resided until Mr. Bernard's death on June 4, 1920. Since that time she has made her home in Eagle Grove. She is survived by her children: Mabel, who resided at home; George Bernard, Eagle Grove; Jessie Fritto, Chatham, New Jersey; Gladys Comstock, Eagle Grove; Harry Bernard, Gilmore City; Wayne Bernard, Eagle Grove; fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. George Haskins of Eagle Grove and two brothers, George Marshall and Ed Marshall both of Woolstock. Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. She was baptized in the French Lutheran church of which she was a member until she moved to Eagle Grove. She was then united with the First Methodist church and attended faithfully as long as her health permitted. Mrs. Bernard was a devoted mother and grandmother and her greatest happiness in life was helping others. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
