Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. W. W. Parker of Grant were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Methodist Church in Grant by Rev. Frank Moore, pastor of that church. Interment was in Grant Cemetery. Mrs. Parker died of heart trouble at 12:30 p.m. Monday at her home in Grant after an illness of two day. She was 78 years of age. The body was brought to the Wolfe & Gourley Funeral Parlors in Villisca where it remained until Wednesday morning when it was taken back to Grant for the funeral. J. R. Coons, Ross Miller, Miss Clara Bills, and Mrs. Clark Given accompanied by Mrs. Eral Spiker at the piano, sang for the services. The pall bearers were Will Corbin, Grant Embree, John Hendrickson, Frank Hines, Joe Larson, and Fred Rose. Caroline Crowell was born December 19, 1855 in Wisconsin and moved to the Grant vicinity in 1868 at the age of 12 years. On March 29, 1881 she was married to Wallace W. Parker and to them five children were born, two of whom are deceased. Those who with their father survive are Forrest and Ernest of Grant and Mrs. M. B. Weir of Griswold. For the last three years Mrs. Parker had lived in Grant where she attended the Methodist Church. For fifty years previous to that time she had lived in the vicinity of Grant.
