Description	:	FIEDLER, CAROLINE—Mrs. Caroline Fiedler, nee Ebbeka, daughter of Ludwig Ebbeka and his wife, Maria, nee Reil, was born June 9, 1863. July 28, 1864, she was brought to the Triune God through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. The Sacrament was performed by Pastor Thaeler in the presence of her sponsors, John and Maria Schorman at the Lutheran Church in Pine Hill, Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Read More	FIEDLER, CAROLINE—Mrs. Caroline Fiedler, nee Ebbeka, daughter of Ludwig Ebbeka and his wife, Maria, nee Reil, was born June 9, 1863. July 28, 1864, she was brought to the Triune God through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. The Sacrament was performed by Pastor Thaeler in the presence of her sponsors, John and Maria Schorman at the Lutheran Church in Pine Hill, Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Later she moved with her parents to York County, Nebraska, settling on a farm northeast of Fairmont, Nebraska. April 10, 1881, she renewed her baptismal covenant through the rite of confirmation at St. John’s Lutheran church, York, Gottfried Enders officiated. May 29, 1882, she was united in holy wedlock with Heinrich Christ Fiedler at York. This union was blessed with four children. About thirty-five years ago she and her husband moved to Geneva. Her husband, Henry Fiedler, was called to his eternal rest June 28, 1931. Two sons, Louis and Henry, also preceded her in death. Up until about six months ago, the deceased lived alone, although she was hampered by extremely poor eyesight, and also being very hard of hearing. She became ill during the month of June and had been confined to her bed til the time of her demise. The Lord called her from her sufferings December 8, 1948, at 5:10 p.m. at Hastings, Neb. Death was due to old age, she having attained the age of 85 years, 5 months and 29 days. She leaves to mourn her passing two sons, William Fiedler of Hastings and Frank Fiedler of Fairmont; one sister, Mrs. Emma Myers of Twin Falls, Idaho; and four grandchildren; also a host of other relatives and friends. Her mortal remains were given a Christian burial, with services at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Geneva; and committal services in the Geneva Cemetery December 11, with Pastor D.
