Description	:	Concordia Blade-Empire 19 Jun 1918: Caroline Henriette Goernandt was born July 6, 1841, in Muelverstadt, Saxony, Germany. She was married to Wilhelm Christian Koerber at the same place in the year 1868. Two years after their marriage they left the homeland and friends and came to Kansas to earn a home in this, then a new country. They had many hardships to face and endure. Read More	Concordia Blade-Empire 19 Jun 1918: Caroline Henriette Goernandt was born July 6, 1841, in Muelverstadt, Saxony, Germany. She was married to Wilhelm Christian Koerber at the same place in the year 1868. Two years after their marriage they left the homeland and friends and came to Kansas to earn a home in this, then a new country. They had many hardships to face and endure. They homesteaded the place on which she was living at the time of her death; having lived on this farm ever since coming to America, except for four years, one year of which she lived in Clyde with her son, William; and three years in which she lived with her son Otto in Oklahoma. She departed this live on June 13, 1918, at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 24 days. Eight children were born to this union, five of whom died in infancy. Three sons are left to mourn the loss of a kind and loving mother, her husband having been called almost 11 years ago. The sons are Otto, Carl and William. Carl was not present at the funeral. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Schuerman and was held at the home on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. June 16th. Interment was made at Princeville Cemetery.
