Description	:	Mrs. August Knollenberg, Sr., died at her home in Kramer last Saturday morning at five o'clock, following an illness of three years. She had been a resident of this section about thirty-five years. She and her husband lived on a farm three miles southeast of Kramer, until four years ago, when they moved to town. Caroline Holstein was born in Germany and there was married to Fred Friendt. To this union three children were born, two sons and one daughter. Read More	Mrs. August Knollenberg, Sr., died at her home in Kramer last Saturday morning at five o'clock, following an illness of three years. She had been a resident of this section about thirty-five years. She and her husband lived on a farm three miles southeast of Kramer, until four years ago, when they moved to town. Caroline Holstein was born in Germany and there was married to Fred Friendt. To this union three children were born, two sons and one daughter. After her husband's death she and her children came to the United States in 1889 and lived with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gottlib Holstein on a farm near Kramer. On February 24, 1891 she was married to August Knollenberg of Kramer, where she has since made her home. To this union were born six children, three daughters and three sons. She is survived by her husband and eight children, Rudolph Friendt of Berks; Fran Friendt; Fred Knollenberg of Hallam; Wm. Knollenberg of Cortland; August Knollenberg of Beattie, Kansas; Mrs. Henry Meinke, Norfolk; Mrs. George (Anna) Kemper of Dorchester; Mrs. Frank (Minnie) Busboom of Milford; Mrs. Arthur (Alvina) Burkmann of Sprague. One daughter, Mrs. Fred Richie, preceded her in death five years ago. She also leaves one sister and two brothers. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at one o'clock at the home and at the Lutheran Church near Kramer at two o'clock, Rev. Albert Cholcher officiating. Burial was made in the Kramer cemetery.
