Description	:	HARMONY - Carolyn E. Reed, 97, died peacefully on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born on March 19, 1918, in Harmony, the daughter of Carroll and Bessie (Lacey) Deering. She graduated from Harmony High School, married, raised her family and spent her entire life in her home town. Carolyn enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading. She will be missed very much. She is survived by... Read More	HARMONY - Carolyn E. Reed, 97, died peacefully on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born on March 19, 1918, in Harmony, the daughter of Carroll and Bessie (Lacey) Deering. She graduated from Harmony High School, married, raised her family and spent her entire life in her home town. Carolyn enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading. One of her favorite things was going out to eat every Sunday with her sisters. It was something she looked forward to. She was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed very much. She is survived by her son, Bruce York and his wife, Connie of Harmony, her daughter, Glenda Sawyer and husband, Arnold of Gorham; her grandchildren, Bruce Jr., David, Dottie, Vince and Karen; great-grandchildren, Jessy, Joe, Vicki, Sam, Colby, Avery, Chad, Tyler, Derek and Mitchell; great-great-grandchildren, Colton, Noah and Summer; sister, Ruthie Post of Cambridge; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Vi Cookson and Maxine Hardy; and her beloved dog, Misty. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, A. Marble Reed; three sisters, Polly Sawyer, Dossie Rowell and Barbie Hume, two brothers, Francis Deering and Donnie Deering; grandson, Stephen Sawyer; and her beloved pets, Buffy, Honey and Tiny. The family would like to express their gratefulness for the loving care of mom to Dr. Donald Debois, caregivers, Pam Pomerleau, Cindy Bussell, Nickie Annis, Kelly Branum, Diane Perkins and Kelly Cooper. Your kindness and compassion was so appreciated. The family will be having a private time of remembrance. Care has been provided by Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, Pittsfield.
