Read More	Carolyn McLeod Strickland October 29, 1933 - February 4, 2015 Anderson, SC Carolyn McLeod Strickland, 81, of 403 Phil Watson Road, widow of the late Harold G. Strickland died Wednesday February 4, 2015 at NHC of Anderson. Born October 29, 1933 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Bartow H. and Nelle Harbin McLeod. She was a retired pediatric nurse practitioner with 54 years of service. Mrs. Strickland worked many years with Dr. Sims and Dr. Hearn and also at the Anderson County Health Department in child health. She was a member of Neals Creek Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and member of the WMU. Survivors include her three daughters, Harriet S. Scarborough and husband, Eddie, Carnita S. Foster and husband, Michael, and Marci Mims and husband, Keith, all of Anderson; four grandsons, Ryan Scarborough, Hunter Foster, Tyler Foster, and Drayton Mims; and three great granddaughters, Valerie Scarborough, Jovie Scarborough, and Ali Foster. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great grandson, Jared Foster. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Neals Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jason Dorriety and Rev. Alex Henderson. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, 3205 North Highway 81, Anderson. The family is at the home of a daughter, Harriet Scarborough, 114 Emily Drive, Anderson. Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to the Youth Fund, Children's Fund, or Breezeway Fund at Neals Creek Baptist Church, 3204 Amity Road Ext., Anderson, SC 29621.
