Beasley on 9 October 1892 in Morgan County. The Mooresville (Indiana) Guide, February 2, 1900 page 1 Mrs. Carrie Beasley, wife of Taylor Beasley, died at the home of her grandmother on east Main street, last Friday night, after a sickness of several months with lung trouble. Short burial services, which were largely attended by relatives and friends, were held at the house Sunday afternoon. The funeral will be preached at the Christian church a week from next Sunday. Was married to Taylor Beasley October 9, 1892. Departed this life January 26, 1900 at the age of 25 years, 1 day. She was afflicted for about four years, through which she was very patient, and perfectly resigned, often expressing her willingness to go. She often expressed herself as being prepared for the future, there being nothing in her way. She was of a cheerful, happy disposition, always ready to administer to the wants of others. Our loss is Heaven's gain. Some sweet day, if we are faithful, We'll be numbered with that throng, And in melody, our voices join with hers, In rapture's song. She was the daughter of Amanda Carpenter, born in Morgan County. The father was not named, and it was stated that Carrie's birth was "Not Legitimate."
