Description	:	Carrie, the fourth child of William Sinclair Torrance and Mary Jane Whitcomb, was born in 1859 at Milwaukie, Clackamas County, Oregon. She married Missouri-born Richard Henry Warmoth on June 12, 1877, in Whitman County, Washington. Richard had a very successful farm at nearby Diamond, Washington. They had seven children, all of whom were born near Colfax, Washington. Richard died at age 54 at Colfax in 1903. They had seven children, all of whom were born near Colfax, Washington. Richard died at age 54 at Colfax in 1903. Shortly after his death, Carrie moved to Spokane to live near the families of her brothers, Edgar A. and William Grant Torrance. Around 1905 Carrie met and married a divorced train conductor named Myron H. Patton. Their marriage ended quickly, and in the 1909 Spokane city directory, Carrie was listed as Carrie E. Patton, widow of M.H. Patton. The 1910 U.S. Census for Spokane shows her as a widow living with three daughters (Nettie, Norma, and Alta) and next door to her two brothers' families. The 1911 Spokane city directory also lists her as the widow of Myron Patton. But Carrie wasn't widowed, because Myron Patton was alive and well and living in Walla Walla, Washington. He and Carrie had divorced when Myron married for the third time. On November 6, 1916, he married Elizabeth B. Hill, a widow whose maiden name was Arthur. Myron Patton died at age 73 in Spokane, on February 7, 1926. Carrie - who kept the surname Patton - lived at Spokane with her grown daughters through the 1930 U.S. Census. She died there at the age of 73, on January 9, 1932. Her body was taken home to Colfax where she was laid to rest next to her husband, Richard H. Warmoth.
