Mrs. Carrie Morrow, Resident of This County for 50 Years, Passes in Falls. This community was saddened on last Wednesday by the death of another pioneer resident of this city. Mrs. Carrie May Morrow, who died suddenly at 1:30 p.m. in a physician's office in Great Falls, death being due to aneurism of carotid artery. Mrs. Morrow had taken the bus to Great Falls that same morning and while in the office of her physician suddenly passed away. Her death came as a great shock to relatives and friends as none realized that her condition was serious. She had, however, been in rather poor health for the past several months. Her death removed from our midst another resident who had spent more than a half a century in the county, the greater part of the time residing in this city. She came to this state and county in 1890 and had since resided here and devoted a great deal of her time to raising flowers, in which she took a great deal of pride and of which she was very fond, her place in the fall being one of the show places of the city. Carrie May Poland was born in Wisconsin on Feb. 14, 1865, where she spent her early life, later moving to Minnesota and South Dakota. She was united in marriage to Mr. Knowlton and to this union one son, Arnum Knowlton, was born. The husband and son preceded her in death, the son passing away in 1934. In 1892 she was united in marriage to William Morrow, a pioneer resident of this city, who also preceded her in death. She is survived by two brothers, Chester Poland, of Minneapolis, and Hubert Poland, of Los Angeles; one sister, Mrs. Lillian Bailey, of Danville, Ill.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held from the Episcopal church on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. , and were conducted by Rev. W. Friend Day, of Great Falls, Episcopal minister. Burial was made in Riverside cemetery. ..........
