Read More	Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, IA, Tuesday, March 16, 1915, pg. 1, col. 2 DEATH OF HENRY BECKER Was Former Cashier of the German Bank in LeMars Henry Becker, a former well known resident, died at his home in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Friday, His death followed an operation for relief from appendicitis with which disease he was stricken two weeks ago. Mr. Becker lived many years in LeMars and had many friends here. He was deputy for nine years for the late Fred Becker when the latter held the office of county auditor and later was associated with him in the German State Bank, being cashier of the institution for five years. The bank was succeeded by the present LeMars Savings Bank. Mr. Becker had lived in Colorado Springs for the past sixteen years and at the time of his death was general manager of the Hageman Mining and Tunnel company. Casper Henry Becker was born in Clayton county, Iowa, May 29, 1862, and was reared on a farm there. When twenty-two years of age he moved to LeMars. He was married twenty-two years ago in LeMars to Miss Eda Wilson, who died several years ago. Three children were born to them, one child, Leona, died at the age of three years. He is survived by a son and daughter, Casper W. Becker and Edith Marie, who live in Clayton county, Iowa. He also leaves two brothers, John Becker, of this city, Jos. Becker, of Des Moines, and three sisters, Misses Mary and Sarah Becker, of Clayton county, and Mrs. T.(sic/P) F. Meehan, of Rockwell City, Iowa. The remains wee brought to LeMars for interment, the body arriving here on Sunday night. The funeral will be held this morning at ten o'clock at St. Joseph's church, Rev. Father Feuerstein officiating and the body buried beside the remains of his wife and daughter.
