Description	:	Catherine Beatrice Irvine Rohrs, was born to Rev. Edward and Elsie Irvine, on June 1, 1921. She went to her heavenly home on May 11, 2017, just 19 days before her 96th birthday. Formerly a resident of Hicksville, Ohio, she has been a resident of Swan Creek Retirement Community near her son’s family in Toledo, since 2015. A 1939 graduate of Elmhurst H.S. in Ft. She went to her heavenly home on May 11, 2017, just 19 days before her 96th birthday. Formerly a resident of Hicksville, Ohio, she has been a resident of Swan Creek Retirement Community near her son’s family in Toledo, since 2015. A 1939 graduate of Elmhurst H.S. in Ft. Wayne, she also attended Ft. Wayne Bible Institute, Asbury College, and the Chicago Evangelistic Institute. Later she would graduate from Defiance College and get her masters’ degree in education from St. Francis College. She was a beloved elementary school teacher for 10 years in Hicksville and for 16 years at Forest Park in Ft. Wayne. Catherine loved music and performed with her marimba in 6 different states, often on ministry teams to places like Joliet Prison, churches, and areas of poverty. She also enjoyed singing, anytime, anywhere. She had been a member of Senior Saints, a senior citizens’ choir from the Grabill Missionary Church, where she enjoyed the fellowship of her Sunday School class in recent years. Her previous churches were the Hicksville and Woodburn Missionary Churches. She had often taught Sunday School, VBS and Good News Clubs for children. Her hobby was china painting, providing many lovely china heirlooms for her family. She also was very patriotic and prayerful about our nation, and a contributor to missionaries. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert L. Rohrs, and later by Robert Fiedler, who became her dear friend of 13 years, known since elementary school. She is survived by her three sons, David Rohrs (Shirley Keller) of Auburn, Indiana, and Dr. Jonathan Rohrs (Barbara Mason) of Maumee, Ohio, and Daniel Rohrs (Rosina Crouch) of Greenville, Illinois. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Faythe Rohrs (Rev. Don Rohrs), 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and numerous beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Her strong desire was to see all her family know and serve Christ and love one another. It was her wish that memorial contributions be made to the Grabill Missionary Church. Her nephew, Rev. Keith Sholl, will preside at her funeral service on May 17 at the Grabill Missionary Church in Grabill, Indiana
