Porter died Tuesday at her home in the east part of town, of erysipelas from which she had suffered for some time. She was a native of England and was sixty three years old. She is survived by her husband and six children to whom her friends and the community in general extend sympathy in their bereavement. The funeral was held today at her late home, conducted by Rev. Priest and burial was made in the Newcomber cemetery across the Loupe. Note: Catherine Porter is now buried next to her husband in the Burke Cemetery in Central City, NE. It is believed she was moved there after the death of her husband in 1925.
