Description	:	Cecil J. Lee, 86, a longtime Wenatchee resident, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002 at Colonial Vista Care Center. He was born at Leahy on March 6, 1915 to Charles D. and Olive J. (Vance) Lee. Cecil received his early education at Coulee City and Cashmere, graduating from Cashmere High School in 1935. He worked on Grand Coulee Dam and on Jan. 7, 1940, married Thelma Anderson at Coulee City. He served in the U.S. Army from May 1945 until January 1946. Lee, 86, a longtime Wenatchee resident, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002 at Colonial Vista Care Center. He was born at Leahy on March 6, 1915 to Charles D. and Olive J. (Vance) Lee. Cecil received his early education at Coulee City and Cashmere, graduating from Cashmere High School in 1935. He worked on Grand Coulee Dam and on Jan. 7, 1940, married Thelma Anderson at Coulee City. He served in the U.S. Army from May 1945 until January 1946. He worked for the Union Elevator at Lind for 12 years before moving to Wenatchee in 1953. He then worked at Alcoa for 221⁄2 years, retiring in 1977. Cecil umpired baseball for the youth, high schools and the college in Wenatchee and East Wenatchee for 18 years. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Thelma of the family home; two daughters, Tamara Jager of Aberdeen and Carol Shaw of Poway, CA; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Berlie Cunningham of Lewiston, ID, formerly of Wenatchee. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, a sister and two sons, Dallas in 1944 and Keith in 1996. A Service of Remembrance will be conducted at 1 p.m., Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 22, 2002 in the Colonial Chapel of the Jones & Jones Funeral Home. Pastor Jerry Beebe will officiate. If desired, memorials may be made to the Assembly of God Church Building Fund or to the Salvation Army in Cecil's name. Arrangements are by the Jones & Jones Funeral Home.
