Description	:	Funeral services were conducted at the Christian church (sic) here Wednesday afternoon for Cecil Sheets, a long-time county resident who died Sunday in a Superior hospital. The Reverend Mr. James L. Keown officiated and burial was made in the Nelson cemetery. Cecil Sheets, second son of George William and Elmadie Sheets, was born at Blue Hill, Nebraska, Sept. 4, 1881, and departed this life at the Brodstone Hospital in Superior, June 19, 1955 at the age of 73 years, 9 months and 15 days. The Reverend Mr. James L. Keown officiated and burial was made in the Nelson cemetery. Cecil Sheets, second son of George William and Elmadie Sheets, was born at Blue Hill, Nebraska, Sept. 4, 1881, and departed this life at the Brodstone Hospital in Superior, June 19, 1955 at the age of 73 years, 9 months and 15 days. Most of his life was spent in this immediate vicinity, except for seven years when, as a youth, he lived in Oklahoma, returning to Nebraska in 1900. He was united in marriage in 1906 to Margaret S. Moorhead. To this union five children were born: William Gordon, Alice Fae Meyer and Gwendolyn Leone Whiteley, all of Nelson; Mildred Marie Bishop of Bennet and Evelyn Ella Collins of Superior. As a young man, he was baptized in the Christian faith, at the Deweese Christian church (sic). On moving to Nelson he transferred his membership to the Christian church (sic) here. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. He leaves to mourn his passing: his loving wife and five children; eleven grandchildren: Bill and David Meyer; Gary, Betty and Bruce Whiteley; Ronnie, Eloise and Jimmy Bishop; Joan, Mary Lou and Billy Collins; four brothers: Elmer of LaJunta, Colo., Carl of Toppenish, Wash.; Herb of Wichita, Kans., Ervin of McCleary, Wash.; also many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
