Description	:	Margaret S. Sheets was born November 4, 1886, at Columbus, Ohio, one of eleven children of William and Rebecca Ann Moorhead. She passed away January 12, 1977, at Hastings, Nebraska. This past November she enjoyed an open house to celebrate her 90th birthday. August 1, 1906, she was married to Cecil Sheets at Nelson and they made their home in Lawrence, Nebraska. Read More	Margaret S. Sheets was born November 4, 1886, at Columbus, Ohio, one of eleven children of William and Rebecca Ann Moorhead. She passed away January 12, 1977, at Hastings, Nebraska. This past November she enjoyed an open house to celebrate her 90th birthday. August 1, 1906, she was married to Cecil Sheets at Nelson and they made their home in Lawrence, Nebraska. On (sic) son and four daughters were born to Mr. and Mrs. Sheets. Mr. Sheets farmed near Deweese for about 18 years, then the family moved to Superior. About 6 years later they moved to Nelson and Mrs. Sheets has made her home here since. Mrs. Sheets has been a member of the Nelson Christian Church for about 50 years and remained active as long as health permitted but never did loose (sic) her interest in the church, nor her concern for friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; six brothers; and four sisters. Survivors include her children, Gordon of Nelson, Mrs. Floyd (Fae) Meyer of Nelson, Mrs. Gerald (Gwendolyn) Whiteley of Nelson, Mrs. Reece (Mildred) Bishop of York, and Mrs. Wayne (Evelyn) Collins of Superior; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the First Christian Church in Nelson on Saturday, January 15, 1977, at 2 p.m. Rev. Victor Schwartz officiated. Casketbearers were Bill Meyer, Dick Meyer, Gary Whiteley, Ron Bishop, Bruce Whiteley, Jim Bishop, Bill Collins and Duane Nelson. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery.
