She was residing in Cocoa Beach with family during the last five weeks where she was enjoying being with and around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was residing in Cocoa Beach with family during the last five weeks where she was enjoying being with and around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her faith kept her so strong in her everyday life. She was ready to begin her new journey and would want everyone to know she was at peace. She was born April 25, 1922, in Waterville, Maine, daughter of Patrick and Desneiges Plante Pelletier. She attended Winslow, Maine, schools to the eighth grade, then left to become employed by C.F. Hathaway, where she worked for 19 years. She enrolled and graduated from the Central Maine Beautician School, subsequently owning and operating her own shop at home for many years before retiring. She enjoyed visiting and spending time with her family during her leisure time, along with crocheting, knitting, sewing and cooking. She also participated in ceramics classes for a number of years. She spent many hours working in her vegetable and flower gardens with her husband. Her flowers were her pride and joy. Everyone, even complete strangers, would stop to compliment them. She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Church family. Cecile was also a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, McCrillis Rousseau Auxiliary Post 8835 of Winslow. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter H. Ellis in 2001; her only son, Patrick J. Ellis, in 2000; her parents, Patrick and Desneige Pelletier; brothers Patrick, Leo, Rudolph and his wife, Irene, Lucien, Gerard, Armand, Robert, and Donald Pelletier; and sisters Marie Mailoux and Juliette E. Pelletier. She is survived by one younger brother, the last of her siblings, Raymond A. Pelletier and dear friend Martha Audet; granddaughters Wanda Ellis Krajewski and her husband, Edward, and Maria Ellis Picard, all of Florida; great-grandchildren Jaysa and Bryce Picard, Edward Jr. and Devon Krajewski, all of Florida; daughter-in-law Karen Ellis of New Hampshire; step-grandchildren Allison Littlefield White of New Hampshire, Wesley Littlefield of Oakland, Maine, and Trudy Littlefield Pontbriand of Sabattus, Maine, and their spouses; step-great-grandchildren Joshua, Weslee Jade, Victoria Grace, Bodhi Lynn and Michaela; sisters-in-law Emily Pelletier, Georgette Dutil and Beverly Pelletier; and daughter-in-law Gisele Bickford of Florida. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Cecile was indeed the family matriarch where she was a respected source of counseling, family history, and family photographs. She was a wife, mother, sister, cousin, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be very sadly missed by all in the family and all who knew her. Cecile touched the hearts of so many people. Funeral visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. July 2, 2008, at Veilleux Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. July 3 at St. John the Baptist Church in Winslow followed by burial services at 1 p.m. at the Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Augusta. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. July 4, 2008, at 16 Bickford Drive, Fairfield, Maine.
