Read More	Celina LeBlanc's birthday was always celebrated on the first of November -- All Souls Day. She and her twin sister Eunice LeBlanc had the same birthday. However, records indicate that she was actually born on the 3rd of November in 1887, and that her twin sister Eunice was born on the 4th of November, which suggests a midnight birth. Due to the fact that dates of birth were not usually kept track of by the families themselves back in the late 1800s, many parents would "stretch the truth" about a child's birth date if it was close to a holiday (especially a religious one) and lie about the date, claiming that the child was born on the holiday rather than a couple days before or after the holiday. Such was the case with Celina and Eunice. Birthdays were not considered a celebration time due to the fact that people worked hard in those days -- all the time. There was little time for any sort of recreation or partying. Once Celina came to America, a place where birthdays are celebrated, she always celebrated her birthday of the first of November, as did her sister Eunice (Eunice emigrated to the United States as well). King, 98, services Friday WOBURN -- Celina H. (LeBlanc) King, one of the oldest residents of the city and the oldest occupant in the elderly housing compplex at 59 Campbell Street, passed away at the Choate Hospital Tuesday morning. The wife of the late David King, who died forty-four years ago, Mrs. King would have observed her 99th birthday on Nov. 1. Born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Meuse) LeBlanc. Mrs. King was educated in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, and came to this country in her early twenties, first settling in Winchester where she lived for two years. She then moved to the South End of Woburn, later made her home at Spring Court Extension and in more recent years was the "elder" at 59 Campbell Street. She took a great deal of pride of being the oldest resident of the complex, and was the envy of other occupants when she was visited frequently by the members of her family which includes fifteen grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren, and fifteen great-great grandchildren. In her earlier years, Mrs. King was employed by the late Justice Curtis Nash who was the presiding justice of the Woburn District Court. Her great love was her family, and she was a woman who was held in high esteem by all who knew her. She was a Past President of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and was active as as member of the 59 Club. Surviving are three sons, John and Francis King, both of Woburn and Lloyd of Holly Hill, Florida, and a daughter Mrs. Loretta Howe of Manchester, New Hampshire. Another daughter, the late Gertrude Ingersoll passed away four years ago. The funeral will be held from the Lynch-Cantillion Funeral Home, 263 Main St., Woburn on Friday morning at 8:15 followed by a funeral mass at St. Charles Church at 9:00. Internment will be in the family lot at Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tonight form 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
