Read More	Concordia News Monday May 23, 1932 Page 1 Mrs. Seth Collins Dies Pioneer Resident Had Lived in Cloud County Since 1868 Mrs. Charity Colins, pioneer resident of Cloud County and well known in the Jamestown vicinity, died at the home of her son, Clarence Collins, near Jamestown, Sunday evening at 9:30 o'clock. Mrs. Collins, who was 74 years of age at the time of her death, had been in poor health for some time. Born in Iowa in 1858, Mrs. Collins, whose maiden name was Charity Reed, came to Cloud County at the age of 10 years, settling with her parents, Charity and Cornelius Reed, on a homestead one mile west of Concordia near Fulmer Hill. She was united in marriage to Seth Collins and the couple spent all of their married life in Cloud County. Mr. Collins died five years ago. Mrs. Collins is survived by six children, four daughters and two sons. They are, Mrs. Frank Cleveland, Mrs. Lovell Lewis and Mrs. Jesse Rogers, all of Concordia; Mrs. Della Meany of Seattle, Wash., Bert Collins of Lycan, Colo., and Clarence Collins of Jamestown. She is also survived by one brother, Watt Reed of Ashland, Kan., and two sisters, Mrs. H. A. Trude of Concordia and Mrs. Steve Grimm of Bancroft, Idaho. Funeral services will probably be held Tuesday afternoon from the home of her son, Clarence Collins.
