Description	:	Charles B. Davis, 83, Burlingame, Kansas, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 at a Topeka hospital. He was born July 12, 1930 in Council Bluffs Iowa, the son of Samuel T. and Vera McIntire Davis. He graduated high school in Halsey, Nebraska and traveled most of his young life. Chuck served in the United States Army in Korea, faithfully attended Grace Assembly Church of Burlingame, volunteered with the VFW, American Legion and other organizations in the past. He was employed for years at Martin Marietta, Burlingame Light Plant and KC Auto Parts in addition to numerous odd jobs... Read More	Charles B. Davis, 83, Burlingame, Kansas, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 at a Topeka hospital. He was born July 12, 1930 in Council Bluffs Iowa, the son of Samuel T. and Vera McIntire Davis. He graduated high school in Halsey, Nebraska and traveled most of his young life. Chuck served in the United States Army in Korea, faithfully attended Grace Assembly Church of Burlingame, volunteered with the VFW, American Legion and other organizations in the past. He was employed for years at Martin Marietta, Burlingame Light Plant and KC Auto Parts in addition to numerous odd jobs in the community for anyone in need. Charles married Ethel Woodward April 3, 1955, she preceded him in death October 30, 1976. He then married Georgia Griffin Tyson on July 10, 1977, she preceded him in death on February 2, 2009. He was also preceded in death by two grandsons Todd Mundy and Troy Tyson, two brothers and a son-in-law Ronnie McAdoo. Survivors include two daughters, Cindy McAdoo and Nancy Rose, two sons, Mike Davis and Steven Tyson, four step-children, Helen Mundy, Ilene Reid, James Tyson and Randy Tyson, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of friends and loved ones. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Grace Assembly Church, Burlingame, KS. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday at Carey Funeral Home, Burlingame, KS where the family will greet friends and relatives from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Burlingame First Responders and sent in care of Carey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 196, Burlingame, KS 66413.
