In 1867 with his parents he came to Johnson Co, this state. On March 19th 1872, he was united in marriage to Miss Hattie Smith. In the year 1878, he removed to Adair Co and later to Cass Co, where he resided for the past 17 years. He leaves a wife and 15 living children, 1 child having died in infancy, and 25 grandchildren. Latig, Leslie L., Charles B., Harry E.,Harvey H., Franklin S., Laurence A., E.C., and Hattie M. all residing in or near Anita. The funeral services were held at the M.E. church Saturday afternoon, coducted by the pastor C.C. Smith and internment took place immediately following, at the Evergreen Cemetery.
