Description	:	son of Thomas(1830) and Elizabeth(1831) Carter Boyce Charles Carter Boyce, son of Elizabeth Ann and Thomas Boyce, was born October 10, 1866 in Sandusky County, Ohio. He departed this life at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hazel McCullough of Leon on January 23, 1948 at the age of eighty-one years, three months and thirteen days. February 18,... Read More	son of Thomas(1830) and Elizabeth(1831) Carter Boyce Charles Carter Boyce, son of Elizabeth Ann and Thomas Boyce, was born October 10, 1866 in Sandusky County, Ohio. He departed this life at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hazel McCullough of Leon on January 23, 1948 at the age of eighty-one years, three months and thirteen days. He moved to Garden Grove when he was three years of age and spent most of his life on a farm near there. He was baptized in infancy and became a member of the Humeston Methodist Church. February 18, 1887 he was united in marriage to Mary Amanda Miller. To this union four children were born: Homer, Hazel, Howard and Harry. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, and by eight of his brothers and sisters. His wife preceded him in death May 5, 1944 at Allerton. Surviving relatives are: his children, Homer Boyce of Corydon, Hazel McCullough of Leon, Howard Boyce of Allerton and Harry Boyce of Corydon; two brothers also survive, John C. Boyce of Humeston and George R. Boyce of Marble Rock. Besides these there are thirteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Those who attended the funeral from out of town were George R. Boyce, Mrs. Gretchen Fender and Kenneth Fender of Marble Rock; Mr. and Mrs. William Zimmerman of Clio; Mrs. And Mrs. M. D. Henderson of Seymour; Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Boyce of Leon; and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Taylor of Allerton. Unknown newspaper, January 28, 1948
