Callahan, 62, longtime resident of the Greeley community, were held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Church in Greeley. Callahan, 62, longtime resident of the Greeley community, were held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Church in Greeley. Mr. Callahan, operator of a feed, seed and farm supply store in Greeley, died Friday night in a St. Paul Hospital. He had operated a feed store for several years at Wolbach. He was born March 23, 1909 in the Brayton community southeast of Greeley. His parents were Bernard and Ellen (Bopp) Callahan. He attended grade school near his parent's home and was graduated from the St. Joseph's Academy at O'Connor in 1928. On July 18, he was married to Delores Smyth at Spalding. They farmed in the Brayton area until moving to Greeley in 1944, where he began his feed and seed business. Survivors include his widow; five sons, Bernard of St. Paul, Minn., Thomas of Lincoln and Gene, Dan and Marty, all of Greeley; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Swain of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Ann Brown of Memphis, Tenn., and Miss Mary Jane of Norfolk. Six sisters, Mrs. Mary Bauerle of North Hollywood, Calif., Mrs. Esther Wetzborger and Ethel Callahan, both of Denver, Mrs. Naomi Hair of Baumont, Calif., Mrs. Claire Farr of Eugene, Ore., and Mrs. Rita Lafferty of McCook; two brothers, Frank of Denver and Leo of Condo, S. D., and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
