Description	:	A former resident of Lyon County and Coffey County, Charles F. Hoyt of Wichita, died Thursday at Wesley Medical Center. He was a retired farmer who had lived in Wichita for the past 12 years. Mr. Hoyt was born and reared in the Duck Creek Community near Reading. He had lived in Hartford for a number of years and had served on the District 18 school board there for 18 years. Mr. Hoyt was a resident of Burlington for nine years before he moved to Wichita. Hoyt of Wichita, died Thursday at Wesley Medical Center. He was a retired farmer who had lived in Wichita for the past 12 years. Mr. Hoyt was born and reared in the Duck Creek Community near Reading. He had lived in Hartford for a number of years and had served on the District 18 school board there for 18 years. Mr. Hoyt was a resident of Burlington for nine years before he moved to Wichita. A service in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Gerald Vaughn of the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery, southeast of Admire. Memorial contributions to the American Heart Association may be sent in care of the funeral home. Mr. Hoyt was the son of the late ME and Fannie Belle Symmonds Hoyt. He was born Oct. 19, 1890 and married Mary M. Stewart on May 10, 1916 in Doniphan, Kan. Mrs. Hoyt survives; her home address is 4921 Armstrong, Wichita. Other survivors are two sons, Harold E. Hoyt, 802 Cottonwood St., and James E. Hoyt of Burlington; three daughers, Glayds Irene Comeaux of Pleasant Hill, Calif., Edith Voorhees of Madison and Ellen Hockanson, Wichita; one sister, Stella Langley of Reading, and 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
