He became ill the afternoon before. Born March 3, 1885 near Mineral, Mr. Imhof had lived in this district his entire life. He had lived in Cherokee for the last 46 years. Mr. Imhof operated a cafe in this city until a few years ago when he retired. He held memberships in the Masonic lodge and was master of the lodge in 1947. He belonged to the Royal Arch Masons, the Commandery in Pittsburg and the Mirza Shrine in Pittsburg. Mr. Imhof was married to Martha Patterson (sic) Feb. 14, 1907 in Pittsburg. She survives. Other survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Johnson, where he died; four sons, Ernest Imhof, Houston, Tex., Leonard J. Imhof, Clyde Eldon Imhof, both of Wichita, and Howard Daniel Imhof, Kansas City; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ida McClenahan, Cherokee, Mrs. Susie Nuckolls, Santa Monica, Calif., and Mrs. Gertrude Lallament, Fritch, Tex.; three brothers, Deo H. Imhof and John S. Imhof, both of Cherokee, and George E. Imhof, Ontario, Calif. Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church. Rev. V.R. Skinner will officiate. Mrs. Virginia Matrino will sing accompanied by Mrs. Helen Conner. Burial will be in the Cherokee cemetery with Masonic rites at the grave. The body will be brought to the home of the daughter, Mrs. Johnson, Saturday afternoon from the Brenner chapel in Pittsburg.
