He had been ill the past year. He was born May 8, 1894 near Cherokee and had lived there all his life. He served in the Army during World War I, and worked for Lightening Creek Coal Co., the Apex Coal Co. and the Commercial Fuel Co., all near Cherokee. He was a farmer for several years. ... He had been ill the past year. He was born May 8, 1894 near Cherokee and had lived there all his life. He served in the Army during World War I, and worked for Lightening Creek Coal Co., the Apex Coal Co. and the Commercial Fuel Co., all near Cherokee. He was a farmer for several years. He was a member of the Cherokee Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star, and AF&AM No. 119 in Cherokee of which he was a past master. He married Florence Crowder in 1917 in Girard. She survives at the Heritage Nursing Home, Girard. Also surviving are two sons, Ralph and Floyd Imhof, both of Cherokee; one daughter, Mrs. Clyde Conner of Wichita; one brother, George Imhof, California; three sisters, Mrs. Dave McClenahan and Mrs. Bill Nuckolls, both of Cherokee, and Mrs. Jack Lallament of Fritz, Texas; four grandchildren an done great-grandchild.
