Information from Washington State Digital Archives. "Charle Frederick, 64, who died of cancer on Saturday, was buried from the Odessa Lutheran Church Wednesday afternoon, the Rev H.P. Christensen officiating. Burial was made in the Odessa Cemetery, with H. Strate as undertaker. Mr. Frederick was born in Germany and moved to America 45 years ago, locating at Ritzville, where he lived for 10 years. In 1889 he married, at Ritzville, Miss Amelia Wolf, a friend of his youth, who had just come from Germany. They settled on a homestead southwest of Odessa, where they have made their home since. Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Royden K. Schoonover, Odessa; six sons, Louis, William, Herman, Carl, Albert and Rudolph, all of Odessa. Pallbearers were chosen from pioneer acquaintances of the deceased, and included John Speck, J.B. Loeffelbein, H.B. Schafer, Conrad Fink, Henry Els and Henry Gies. The church was crowded to capacity as the many friends of the family attended the funeral to pay their last respects to Mr. Frederick."
