Description	:	Frederick, William, (d. 1989; b. 1907; TS; OC; obit) “William Frederick, a lifelong resident of Odessa who was born on the family homestead near this community July 26, 1907, passed away Sunday morning July 23, 1989. He attended a country school for four years, then quit to help his family on the farm. He was known as a hard worker, intent on purchasing property near the family homestead. That goal accomplished, he worked with a veterinarian from whom he learned treatment of animals, and he assisted local ranchers in curing ill stock after that. He was a horseman as... Read More	Frederick, William, (d. 1989; b. 1907; TS; OC; obit) “William Frederick, a lifelong resident of Odessa who was born on the family homestead near this community July 26, 1907, passed away Sunday morning July 23, 1989. He attended a country school for four years, then quit to help his family on the farm. He was known as a hard worker, intent on purchasing property near the family homestead. That goal accomplished, he worked with a veterinarian from whom he learned treatment of animals, and he assisted local ranchers in curing ill stock after that. He was a horseman as well. He met Dorothy Giles in Colville and in Dec, 1953 they were married in Coeur d’Alene. He was a member of Odessa Grange 931, an organization from which he had received his 50-year pin. Survived by his wife Dorothy at the family home, Mr. Frederick also leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Cindy Giles of Portland, Oregon; a daughter and son-in-law, Loretta and Tony Weber of Kent; and two grandchildren, Toni and Robin Weber, also of Kent. Funeral service was held Wednesday, July 26, at the Christ Lutheran Church, Pastor Daniel Cronrath officiating. Interment followed at Odessa Cemetery, Strate Funeral Home in charge. Casketbearers included Roger Voise, Allen Voise, Dick Derr, Wayne Frederick, Leland Frederick and Al Fink. Honorary bearers included Richard Voise, Roy Zeiler and Hank Gies.” (Odessa Record-undated)
