Description	:	FAIRFIELD - Charles Hunter Snyder, age 90, of Fairfield died Friday, June 13, 1997 at his home. Mr. Snyder was born February 19, 1907 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Morey G. Snyder and Ida Lawhorne Snyder. He was a retired foreman with the Va. Dept. of Transportation and a member of the Marlbrook Baptist Church. Snider, Felicity, Ohio, Faye S. McCullough, Lexington, and Barbara S. Mays, Richmond; 1 son, Charles R. Snyder, Staunton; 2 sisters, Carrie Sours, Lexington and Shirley Groah, Grottoes; 2 brothers, Frank Snyder, Fairfield and Massey Snyder, Modesto, California; 28 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, June 15, 1997 from the. Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dan Hummel and Rev. Luther Witt officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers and the family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Fairfield First Aid Crew or a charity of choice.
