Born January 20, 1932 in Thayer, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Charles Hunter and Minnie (Clements) Snyder. Edna was also preceded in death by a daughter Alice Jean Young; two brothers, Marshall and Herman Snyder; son-in-law, Ralph Martin Sr.; brother-in-laws, Gerald Bush, Howard Humphries and Raymond Snider. Starnes; daughters, Rebecca Starnes of Raphine and Brenda Martin of Stuarts Draft; step-daughter, Louise Young; brother, Charles "Chuck" Snyder and wife Linda; sisters, Dorothy Humphries, Madeline Wilhelm and husband Leroy, Sylvia Jean Bush, Mae Snider, Faye McCullough and husband Marvin, Elizabeth Runkle and husband Bob and Barbara Mays; grandchildren, Robert "Bob" Young, Ralph Martin Jr. and wife Penny, Zachary Starnes and wife Sonya, Donna Rojas, Melissa Neese and husband Chris and Kimberly Howdyshell and husband Boots; step-grandchildren, Joann Brown and Randy Young. She was blessed with 11 great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews, a son-in-law Frank Young, and a special neighbor Robert Johnson and his granddaughter Carla. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Radar Ogden officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Steeles Tavern. Active pallbearers will be Ralph Martin Jr., Robert "Bob" Young, Robert Johnson, Keith Ramsey, Charles "Chuck" Snyder and Robert Young. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, April 19, 2010 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and other times at her residence.
