He is survived by his wife, children, step-children, and grandchildren. Rev. Ronald Starr officiated and interment was in the Broughton Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, children, step-children, and grandchildren. Rev. Ronald Starr officiated and interment was in the Broughton Cemetery. He was 72 years, nine months, and four days of age, having been born at Broughton on September 7, 1887. He was a retired Union Pacific Railroad section laborer. Charles L. McCulley was born on September 7, 1887, at Broughton, Kans., and passed away on June 11, at a local hospital. He had reached the age of 72 years, nine months and four days. On February 4, 1915, he was united in marriage to Leda White. His second marriage was on February 3, 1943, to Vera Haner, who survives him. A retired section laborer, he had been a resident of Oketo for 30 years. Survivors, in addition to his widow, include six children: Mrs. Leo Chapman, Broughton; Mrs. Robert Young, Oketo; Galen and Richard Haner, Portland, Ore.; Janice Haner and Donald McCully, Oketo. Other survivors are 15 grandchildren, a brother, W. J. McCully, Clay Center; and a sister, Mrs. Henry Henstead, McFarland. In addition to his parents and his wife Lida, Mr. McCully was preceded in death by a brother, Harry in 1920, a brother James in 1952, a sister Marjorie who died as an infant, and a daughter Ruth, Mrs. Harold Brandt, in 1952. Funeral services were held June 15, at Kinsley Mortuary with the Rev. Ronald Starr officiating and vocal music was furnished by Mrs. Burton Fundis, who, accompanied by Mrs. Art Trojovsky, sang "God Understands" and "Sunrise." Serving as pallbearers were Raymond Fincham, Mitt Sevick, Bill Downie, Jan Remmers, Glen Morley, and George Cook. Burial was at the Broughton Cemetery. Contributor: A.W. Bauer (49122991) •
