Description	:	Son of Rev. Isaac Briggs and Sarah Sears. Lived in York, Maine and Boxford, MA where his father was a minister of the First Congregational Church. He was living in Boston, MA when he married Mary Ann Ballord/Ballard on Nov. 3, 1840 in Framingham, MA. In the 1850 Census the couple were living in Framingham while Charles was working as a carpet merchant on Washington St. in Boston.
