Born at North Liberty, O., in 1875, he was baptized in infancy in the Presbyterian church. Read More	TAYLOR, CHARLES NELSON — Charles Nelson Taylor of Geneva passed away suddenly early Saturday morning, July 5, 1952, at the age of 76 years and 11 months. Born at North Liberty, O., in 1875, he was baptized in infancy in the Presbyterian church. At the age of four years, he came with his parents to Nebraska, where they settled in the Greenwood community, near Ashland, where he grew to manhood. In 1892, the Taylor family moved to Fillmore county and located in Madison township. Eight years after coming to this county he moved to Geneva, making his home with his sister and brother, Ira. During his long illness of three years, he was tenderly cared for by his sister and brother, who feel a great loss in his passing. He was a lover of flowers and was always ready to share them with those less fortunate as well as with his friends. In his home, flowers testified to his love of better things in life. Surviving are his sister, Miss Daisy Taylor, a brother, Ira Taylor, a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Taylor, and family; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Nellie Taylor and family; six nephews and a host of friends. His parents and a brother Herbert preceded him in death. Services were held at the Kritner-Ashby funeral home Tuesday afternoon, July 8, at 2:30 o'clock. Dr. F. E. Pfoutz, of the Geneva Methodist church, gave the tribute. A quartet composed of Vaughn Fulton, Wallace Swanson, C. M. Humphrey and Ralph Reemts sang "In the Garden," "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," and "The Old Rugged Cross." Miss Shirley McPeck accompanied at the piano. Pallbearers were Robert Halsey, William Domeier, Ben Fussell, Fred Meyer, Fred Baker and Melvin Ellison. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. Source: The Nebraska Signal July 1952
