Description	:	Charles Osler, 89 QUAKER CITY - Charles Warner Osler, 89, of Zanesville, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at Genesis Extended Care and Rehabilitation Center in Zanesville. He was born on Oct. 3, 1918, in Lore City, Ohio, to the late Charles Osler and Della Warner Osler. He married Joyce K. Bigwood Osler on July 24, 1945. Read More	Charles Osler, 89 QUAKER CITY - Charles Warner Osler, 89, of Zanesville, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at Genesis Extended Care and Rehabilitation Center in Zanesville. He was born on Oct. 3, 1918, in Lore City, Ohio, to the late Charles Osler and Della Warner Osler. He married Joyce K. Bigwood Osler on July 24, 1945. A 1936 graduate of Old Washington High School, he was the proud owner and operator of a one-man steam-powered sawmill. He was an electrician who retired from Ballas Egg Corp., and also worked at several other plants. He was a member of Bob Larson Ministries, and a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II. He is survived by one son, George T. Osler of Zanesville; three daughters, Phyllis (James) Coutts of Zanesville, Caroline (Ralph) Hayes of Lowell and Chrystal (Kenneth) Pitman of Calahan, Colo.; one sister, Mary Jane Berry of Salesville; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and close friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, who died in March of 1996; one sister, Kathleen Ankrom; and two brothers, Harold and Haven. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2008, at Thorn-Black Funeral Home in Quaker City. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Jellison officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery in Quaker City with military graveside services conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
