Description	:	Charles "Rolla" Noyer, 68, passed away at the home of his son, Rollie, in Winnetoon at 5 o'clock Monday morning. Mr. Noyer had been cared for at the home of his son since he was stricken with pneumonia two weeks ago. He had not fully recovered but was able to walk up town Sunday afternoon. His condition was not so well Sunday evening, although not thought serious. His son and daughter-in-law spent the night at his bedside. He died suddenly in his sleep from a heart attack. Charles Rolla Noyer was born at Mechanicsburg, Illinois, Jan. 8, 1872 and was 68 years, 1 month and 25 days of age at the time of his death, March 4, 1940. Mr. Noyer moved with his parents to Eldora, Iowa, when a small child and it was there that he grew to manhood. He left there at the age of 21 years. He came to Creighton, Nebraska in 1902. On July 29, 1903, he was married to Jennie Ferguson of Creighton. Mr. and Mrs. Noyer resided in Creighton until 1908 when they moved to Wyoming, returning to Creighton in 1909. In 1915 they moved to Texas, returning to Nebraska the same year, locating at Lynch, where they lived two years, then again returned to Creighton. Mr. Noyer was a carpenter by trade. Mrs. Noyer preceded her husband in death, May 22, 1931. To this union four children were born, Rollie "Buck" of Winnetoon, Harry of Plainview, Mrs. Lula Mae Rohrer of O'Neill and Mrs. Mabel Carver of Hoodriver, Oregon. Mr. Noyer continued to live in Creighton after the death of his wife until two weeks ago when he became ill and was cared for at the home of his son in Winnetoon. He is survived by his four children, four brothers, one sister and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Creighton, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the church pastor, Rev. John B. Roe. Interment was made beside his wife in Rose Hill cemetery at Creighton. ...The Creighton News Charles Rolla was the son of Samuel Charles and Sarah Ann Strawbridge Noyer. His siblings were Isaac, Sarah, Hester, Thomas, Richard, Clyde, Lewis and Kathe. Mabel married Theodore Carver, Lula Mae, a Rohrer, Harry married Tillie Mlady, Rolla or Rollie "Buck" married Evelyn Fricke. Buck and his family, Harry and his family lived in Winnetoon, NE for several years.
