He was a member of Hillsboro School Board, Masonic Lodge 541 AF & AM in Hillsboro, a 25-year member of Hillsboro City Council and a 30-year member of Hillsboro Cemetery Board. He is survived by his wife; 3 daughters; Edythe Frantz of Iowa City, Iowa, Marlene of Moberly, Missouri, Roberta Shimon also of Moberly, Missouri and one son, Dwight of Hillsboro, Iowa. Wilma has 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leland L. Staley of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Refa McClellan; and three brothers, Dale, Clifford W. and Marvin L. Stanley. The service was held Monday, February 20, 1995 at Hillsboro Christian Church in Hillsboro, the Rev. David Callen officiating. Burial was in Hillsboro Cemetery. Memorial may be made to Hillsboro Christian Church or Hillsboro Public Library.
