M. at his home at 430 West South Street, just as he was preparing to leave for the bank. Death followed a heart attack. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 P.M. at the first Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Dean R. Montgomery officiating and burial following in Hillsboro cemetery under direction of Evans funeral home. He was born in Hillsboro on Feb. 5, 1881, the son of Joseph and Kate Bell Jeans Perin. He had resided here virtually all his life. He is survived by his wife, Faye Daily Perin; one son, Dr. Charles T. Perin, Oxford; one daughter, Mrs Mary Parry, Hillsboro; one brother, Joseph Perin of Cincinnati; one sister, Mrs. Clarence Hiestand, city, and five grandchildren. Mr. Perin began his banking career with the Merchants Bank here. Following this, he worked for a railroad firm in Texas and Mexico and upon his return here, went to work for the Farmers & Traders Bank in August, 1908. He had been there ever since, a total of 48 years. He was named cashier of the Farmers & Traders Bank in January, 1923, after having served as assistant cashier for a time prior to that. He was named to the board of directors of the bank in April 1920. He was elected vice president of the bank in January, 1952, and held that position at the time of his death. He had been active in the Highland County Bankers Association for a number of years. He was an 1899 graduate of Hillsboro High School. He had been member of the Masons for 53 years. He had served s head of all Masonic bodies here - Highland Lodge No. 38, F&AM, in 1916; Hillsboro Cha;pter 40 in 1923, Highland Council No. 16; Hillsboro Chapter 40 in 1923, Highland Council No. 16 in 1924 and Highland Commandery No. 31, 1926-27. He had been a member of the Hillsboro Elks Lodge since 1907. He joined the lodge at Laredo, Texas, that year, and then transferred his membership here in 1909. He was an elder in the Presbyterian Church here.
