Born Oct. 16, 1916, in Hillsboro, he was the son of Charles Theodore and Faye (Dailey) Perin. He was raised in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School. He married Jean Spargur Dec. 27, 1941, in Hillsboro. A 1938 graduate of Miami University, he received master's and doctorate degrees from Yale University. 'Ted' Perin, Jr., 80, professor of psychology emeritus at Miami University, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 1996, at his home in Oxford. Born Oct. 16, 1916, in Hillsboro, he was the son of Charles Theodore and Faye (Dailey) Perin. He was raised in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School. He married Jean Spargur Dec. 27, 1941, in Hillsboro. A 1938 graduate of Miami University, he received master's and doctorate degrees from Yale University. Before returning to Miami as a faculty member in 1947, he was chief of classification and wage administration in the Cleveland Laboratory of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics and chief of wage administration at the United States Air Force headquarters in Washington, D.C. He retired from Miami in 1976. He was a consultant to numerous military, government and business officials. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the American Psychological Association, a charter member of the Psychosomatic Society, Ohio Academy of Science, American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and American Association for he Advancement of Science. Survivors are his wife, Jean, a son, Charles T. Perin, III, and daughter-in-law, Susan, Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Nancy Axmacher, and son-in-law, Bruce, Wyoming; and one grandson, Daniel Perin Axmacher. . . .with burial in the Hillsboro Cemetery. . . .Memorial contributions may be sent to the Oxford Life Squad or the Highland County Historical Society.
