The transcription below is from the microfilmed image of the original obituary as it was published. ------------ Fairfield Ledger Thursday Jan. 23, 1964 Pg. 8, Col. 2 LEPPO FUNERAL AT LIBERTYVILLE. Charles Leppo, native of Libertyville, died at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday at Council Bluffs, Iowa, where he had made his home for the past few years. He had been in failing health the past five years and seriously ill one day. The body is at the Raymond funeral home in Fairfield. Last rites will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Libertyville Methodist church with the Rev. Lewis Lint in charge. Burial will be in the Fell Cemetery. Leppo was a retired farmer and a former stock buyer. Charles W. Leppo was born Dec. 22, 1872, in Libertyville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Leppo. He was reared and educated in the Libertyville community and was a member of the Methodist Church. He was married Nov. 23, 1903, Elizabeth Clinkinbeard (sic. a/k/a Clinkenbeard) Fry who preceded him in death March 5, 1950. He was a 50-year member of the K. of P. and Masonic lodges. He spent his entire life in the Libertyville community until he went to live with his children at Council Bluffs about five years ago. Charles Leppo is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Joe Adkisson; and a son, Harold Leppo, both of Council Bluffs; also two grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Carrie Vaughn, Carmichael, Calif. In additon to his wife, he was preceded in death by four sisters, three of them in infancy; and a great-grandchild.
