The family had there belongings loaded in a train car at Peru, Kansas, November 29, 1905, bound for Mountainview, Missouri(where the brother of Mr. L. R. Purkey lives). Mr. Purkey was suddenly murdered near Cherryvale, Kansas, the son was the prime suspect, and was acquitted as an accident. |
