Father Wilkins was born Aug. 10, 1826, at Stockholm Center, St. Lawrence county, N.Y., and was married to Rebecca Hilbert, Feb. 15, 1852. Read More	Husband of Rebecca Hilbert OBITUARY THE CHARITON HERALD Chariton, Iowa Thursday, June 2, 1892 DIED - At his home in Ottercreek township, Lucas county, Ia., May 27, 1892, Mr. Charles Wilkins, of heart trouble, aged 65 years, 9 months and 17 days. Father Wilkins was born Aug. 10, 1826, at Stockholm Center, St. Lawrence county, N.Y., and was married to Rebecca Hilbert, Feb. 15, 1852. To them were born five sons and four daughters, all of whom are living except for one daughter. He became a Christian in the fall of 1850, and united with the church of United Brethren in Christ. From the time of his conversion he was a faithful Christian and died as he had lived. He leaves an aged wife, five sons and three daughters, together with a number of friends to mourn his loss. The funeral services were held at the U. B. church near Norwood on Sunday, the 29th, conducted by Rev. L. F. Huntzinger, and the remains were interred in the Fletcher graveyard.
